Iridescent arcade buttons

Iridescent arcade buttons are standard illuminated push buttons with a decorative plated or engraved cap: the body, micro switch and 12V LED are the same commercial parts, only the visible face changes.

The range covers rainbow iridescent plating, starry grey and starry silver, emerald green, bubblegum pink and an engraved dragon-and-phoenix face. Because the plating sits on the cap rather than the body, these fit the same panel cutouts and use the same switches as the plain illuminated range, so a machine can be refreshed visually without re-drilling the panel or changing the loom.

They are specified where the control panel is part of the product: claw and prize machines, photo booths, redemption cabinets and location-based entertainment where the machine has to look new on a busy floor. Under the LED the plated faces shift colour with viewing angle, which reads very differently from a flat printed cap in a lit venue.
